Today my mom and I departed from KLIA, on board the MH 125 Malaysian Airlines flight off to Perth. This trip to Perth was intended for us to be present at my sister’s upcoming graduation ceremony on the 17th February 2009. Above is a picture of our plane from the KLIA Lounge.
We boarded our plane at 8:30am and our ride finally taxied and took off the runway at 9:00am, as scheduled. After a torturous 5 and the half hour flight, we touched down at our base, Perth, the capital of Western Australia. As Perth is currently having day light savings, its time zone falls in the +9:00 GMT. Seen above is the view outside our seats during landing.
As soon as we exited the immigrations and baggage claim counters, we were welcomed by my siblings and their respective soul-mates at the arrival hall. Our baggage were escorted in my brother’s company Ford wagon, while we were escorted in my brother’s Honda Civic back to their dwellings at Mitchell Street of Bentley. Tiredly, we quickly unpacked and headed off for dinner at COCOS which is located just by the Swan river. I didn’t manage to capture many shots during the dinner as I immediately gorged into my meal as soon as they were served. Above is a picture taken of our entree – Turkish breads with an assortments of dips.
After the tantalising dinner, we headed off to the foreshore overlooking the Swan River. Here, I managed to capture a night scenery shot of the city. Also, we got hold of the chance to have a few group photos, having this lovely scene as our backdrop.

Our final stop for the day was at Gelare, a dessert cafe which serves tasty ice creams, milk shakes, and other confectionaries. After satisfying our sweet cravings, we returned back to my Brother’s home and bunked in for the night together.
