White Water Rafting @ Kuala Kubu Baru

On 28th December, I joined in the excitement activities of my cousin and extended cousins and ventured into White Water Rafting. Prior to agreeing to be the substitute of my other cousin who fractured his leg and was ready to forfeit his participation in the activity, I played the devil’s advocate and was initially skeptical about the activity’s safety; hence my interest died. Giving in to the inner adventurous and boisterous spirit in me, I eventually agreed to tag along for the water rafting.

On Sunday morning, we set off from home before dawn, and arrived at Kuala Kubu Baru at about 8 am. All the attendees of the day’s activity rendezvoused at a mamak stall. Upon the arrival of the organizers, we hopped onto our cars, and followed the “leader” up the hill and into the wilderness. Without realizing it, we were part of a massive entourage. Above is a picture of us during our mini game at the briefing point.

After a long “briefing”, we were overwhelmed by numerous commands which were needed to be memorized eg: Front, Back, Left Foward, Right Forward, Over right, Over left etc. Keeping bliss about remaining ignorant, we got ourselves into our geras (as in the photo above), and started rafting!

Below are a few photos of us during the rafting. Enjoy!

We hit the finish point at about 4pm. This water rafting was indeed a not to miss adventure!
